Police in California have arrested a woman for severing her husband’s penis — an attack that calls to mind Lorena Bobbitt’s famous hacking in 1993. Catherine Kieu Becker is accused of drugging her husband’s dinner, tying him to the bed, cutting off his penis with a 10-inch knife and then tossing the severed member down the garbage disposal. She and her husband had been married for 1 1/2 and initiated divorce proceedings in May. Becker is being held on several charges, including “aggravated mayhem,” which carries a possible life sentence.
