It was a great speech, and this is a fitting title from Ted Anthony of AP. Essay: Of Kennedys and Kings — and Lincolns, Too [Yahoo! News]. But will Barack Obama’s soaring rhetoric be translated into a real transformational moment in American politics? That all depends on how he leads and governs, and whether the gridlock that has become a permanent undercurrent to national American politics returns, as usual. I personally am amazed by the inspirational rhetoric and hoping against hope it lasts a little while longer before political deadlock sets in again.
