Today’s tech buzz is that Apple may be delaying replenishing iPhone stock in its retail outlets in order to make way for a 3G model this quarter, sooner than anticipated. There’s rumors all the way to MarketWatch to the same effect, which is consistent with Apple’s history of running down inventories in advance of a product update. I personally can’t wait, having had an iPhone since July 2007 and loved it the whole time. “Edge” is just slow enough to be frustrating sometimes where WiFi is not available. Coupled with Exchange ActiveSync interoperability, putting 3G connectivity in an iPhone will make it a real BlackBerry killer, IMHO.
