As Maureen Dowd remarked in Sunday’s New York Times, "[d]espite Bill Clinton’s saying it was ‘a bunch of bull’ that his wife should drop out, Democrats are trying to sneak up on Hillary, throw a burlap sack over her head, carry her off the field and stick her in a Saddam spider hole until after the Denver convention." Then this morning we wake up to read that Bill is warning voters in West Virginia to “saddle up” for a heated duel between the candidates, while major Hillary donors are publicly urging that the nomination be decided by the so-called "superdelegates" on the floor of the Democratic convention.
What are these Clintonistas up to? A floor fight, whether over credentials or superdelegate commitments, would be yet another act of political hari kari by Democrats. This is insane.
